chicken, broccoli & cheesy pasta
If you love mac 'n cheese, then you will love this. The added chicken and broccoli makes it a complete meal that's delicious, filling and satisfying. The parmesan brings just the right amount of saltiness to the recipe, not too much, though. It's just the right amount, in my opinion, but you can always add a little salt if you feel you need more when you serve it. This recipe is so simple and not so time consuming.

Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cup dry elbow macaroni
- 3 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 2 - chicken breasts, cut into bite sized pieces and cooked in a fry pan in a few tablespoons of oil
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1-1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1-1/4 cup milk (i use 2%)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese (not grated)
How To Make chicken, broccoli & cheesy pasta

Step 1Cook macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 2Cook broccoli until tender. Drain and set aside.

Step 3Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add flour and whisk. Cook for 1 minute, whisking constantly.

Step 4Add chicken broth, milk, garlic powder, and pepper. Whisk together. Continue whisking until mixture begins bubbling and starts to thicken. Remove from heat. (If sauce is too thick and stiff, add another ¼ cup of milk and another ¼ cup of chicken broth.

Step 5Stir in cheddar cheese and parmesan cheese until melted. Add macaroni, broccoli and cooked chicken. Stir until fully coated and combined.

Step 6Heat the whole way through, serve and enjoy!!
