This recipe was on the back of my local market's brand of boxed pasta. I made this for lunch today and all of it was gone! So...this is family approved.

1 pkg
penne pasta
3 clove
garlic finely chopped
1 medium
onion chopped
3 Tbsp
olive oil
sweet red peppers, seeded and chopped
1 lb
chicken breasts, boneless and skinless cubed or chopped
3/4 c
heavy cream
1 tsp
hot sauce ( i like frank's original)
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 c
grated parmesan cheese

How to Make Chicken and Red Peppers with Penne Pasta


  • 1Cook and drain pasta according to directions.
    About 12 minutes.
  • 2Meanwhile, in large skillet over medium heat, saute garlic & onion in olive oil until lightly browned. Add chicken, cook, stirring often up to 12 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
  • 3Stir in red peppers, cream and hot sauce; simmer 5 minutes.Toss cooked pasta with sauce. Season to taste with salt & pepper. Top with parmesan cheese, serve immediately.
