chicken and red peppers with penne pasta

This recipe was on the back of my local market's brand of boxed pasta. I made this for lunch today and all of it was gone! So...this is family approved. Hope you try it and enjoy it.

Ingredients

  • 1 package penne pasta
  • 3 cloves garlic finely chopped
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 - sweet red peppers, seeded and chopped
  • 1 pound chicken breasts, boneless and skinless cubed or chopped
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce ( i like frank's original)
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

How To Make chicken and red peppers with penne pasta

  • Step 1
    Cook and drain pasta according to directions. About 12 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Meanwhile, in large skillet over medium heat, saute garlic & onion in olive oil until lightly browned. Add chicken, cook, stirring often up to 12 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
  • Step 3
    Stir in red peppers, cream and hot sauce; simmer 5 minutes.Toss cooked pasta with sauce. Season to taste with salt & pepper. Top with parmesan cheese, serve immediately.
