This is a quick and easy pasta sauce. A tasty way to use up extra cherry tomatoes.

Ingredients For cherry tomato pasta sauce

  • 1/2 c
    diced onion
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 pt
    cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2 Tbsp
    garlic flavored olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh basil, julienned
  • 1 Tbsp
    parsley, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • grated parmesan
  • cooked pasta

How To Make cherry tomato pasta sauce

  • 1
    Heat oil in medium skillet on medium heat. Add diced onion and garlic. Saute until translucent.

    Add halved cherry tomatoes, reduce heat to medium low and simmer until tomatoes start to soften and release their juices, about 5 minutes.

    Season with basil, parsley, salt and pepper.

    Serve over your favorite pasta. Top with fresh grated parmesan.
