I created this brand new casserole recipe for steak fanatics, combined with cheeses.

Ingredients For cheesy steak casserole

  • 2 c
    crumbled cooked bacon
  • 1 c
    cubed processed American cheese
  • 8 oz
    dry penne pasta
  • 3 Tbsp
    steak seasoning, divided
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 2 lb
    beef stew meat
  • 1 lg
    vidalia sweet onion, peeled and chopped
  • 2 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 3 tsp
    seasoned pepper
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 1 can
    cheddar cheese soup (10.75 oz)
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 5 Tbsp
    grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 c
    shredded Monterey jack cheese

How To Make cheesy steak casserole

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

    Coat a 11 x 7-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Add crumbled bacon and cubed American cheese; mix well.

    Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Place the penne pasta in the pot and cook for 8 to 10 minutes; drain. Season with steak seasoning.

    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef stew meat and chopped vidalia onion; saute 4 to 5 minutes or until beef stew meat are well done.

    Stir in ground cumin, seasoned pepper and 1 tablespoon steak seasoning. Remove from heat.

    In a large bowl, combine heavy cream, soup, cream cheese, garlic powder, Parmesan cheese and remaining steak seasoning; whisk together for 3 minutes until blended.

    Add beef stew meat mixture and cooked penne pasta; mix well.

    Spoon into a prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with Monterey jack cheese.

    Bake for 25 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Let stand for 7 minutes.
