~ cheesy pasta & ham bake ~
Delicious as is...sometimes I add veggies to this casserole as well. Chicken is a great addition instead of ham. A tasty comfort meal. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups uncooked pasta - your choice - i use penne or rigatoni
- 1/2 cup minced onion
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- 3 tablespoons each - butter & flour
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- pinch - nutmeg
- 3 - 4 - grinds, fresh black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups fresh shredded, swiss cheese
- 1 cup fresh shredded, colby cheese
- 2 cups cooked, cubed ham
- 1/2 cup italian bread crumbs
- 1/2 stick butter, melted
- 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
How To Make ~ cheesy pasta & ham bake ~

Step 1Cook your pasta and drain. Just al dente. Set aside.

Step 2Preheat oven yo 375 degree F. Grease a medium casserole dish. Set aside. In a large saucepan, over medium heat - melt butter. Add onion and garlic and cook a few minutes or until onion is tender, stirring often. Stir in the flour and continue stirring for a couple minutes.

Step 3Whisk in the milk and cream. Bring to a boil and cook until thickened, stirring continuously. Stir in mustard, nutmeg and pepper. Stir in the Swiss and Colby cheeses. Once melted stir in the ham and pasta.

Step 4Spread mixture into prepared dish.

Step 5In a small bowl. combine the crumbs, butter and Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle evenly over the top of casserole and bake for 20 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.

Step 6Salt and pepper to taste as serving.
