Ingredients

  • 1 pound sweet italian sausage (ground)
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 - jar prego spaghetti sauce
  • 8 ounces rotini noodles
  • 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8 ounces pepperoni slices
  • - parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

How To Make cavatini

  • Step 1
    Brown sausage with onion, garlic and pepper.Drain grease add spaghetti sauce and let simmer.
  • Step 2
    Bring two quarts water with one tablespoon salt to a rolling boil.add rotini noodles and cook as directed on package.When done drain and layer into a greased 11/2 quart oven proof dish.Layer as follows,1/2 noodles,1/2 meat sauce,1/2 pepperoni,and half mozzarella cheese.repeat layers.
  • Step 3
    Bake at 350 degrees for 5-10 minutes or until cheese melts. Remove from oven and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.Great served with toasted bread and Italian butter.
