I created the new baked fusilli recipe. It is based on Kinder's brown butter roasted garlic seasoning, it's a good side for well done steaks.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cubed processed American cheese
  • 1 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 5 tablespoons brown butter roasted garlic seasoning, divided
  • 1 pound dry fusilli pasta
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 large vidalia sweet onion, peeled and sliced
  • 2 medium carrots,chopped
  • 1 clove garlic,minced
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese,shredded
  • 8 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, shredded

How To Make brown butter roasted garlic baked fusilli

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step 2
    Coat a 13- x 9-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Add cubed American cheese, crumbled blue cheese and 1 tablespoon brown butter roasted garlic seasoning; mix well with a fork.
  • Step 3
    Cook Fusilli pasta according to package directions; drain. Transfer to a large bowl. Season with 2 tablespoons brown butter roasted garlic seasoning; mix well.
  • Step 4
    Heat olive oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat.Combine sliced Vidalia onion, chopped carrots and minced garlic, saute for 5 minutes or until are crispy and tender.
  • Step 5
    Stir in 1 tablespoon brown butter roasted garlic seasoning and brown sugar. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Step 6
    Heat Margarine in a large saucepan over medium heat. Gradually whisk in flour. Cook, whisking constantly, 2 minutes.
  • Step 7
    Stir in heavy cream, half and half and remaining brown butter roasted garlic seasoning and simmer for 8 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Step 8
    Add shredded sharp cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese and whisk until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in cooked Fusilli pasta and sautéed vegetables.
  • Step 9
    Spoon into a prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Step 10
    Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
