bow ties with sausage, tomatoes and cream
One of the ladies from church made this for a luncheon. I asked for the recipe from the first fantastic bite!

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound sweet or hot italian sausage, remove casings
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 3 cloves garlic, pressed
- 28 ounces can (drained) diced tomatoes
- 1 1/2 cups whipping cream or 1/2 and 1/2
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 12 ounces bow-tie pasta, cooked and drained
- 3 tablespoons minced fresh basil (can omit if desired)
- - parmesan cheese to taste
How To Make bow ties with sausage, tomatoes and cream

Step 1Heat oil in large skillet. Add: sausage and red pepper flakes, stirring until sausage is brown.

Step 2Add: onion and garlic. Cook until onion is tender.

Step 3Add: tomatoes, cream and salt. Simmer until it thickens slightly.

Step 4Add: pasta to sauce and cook until heated through.

Step 5Serve sprinkled with basil and parmesan cheese.

Step 6Note at bottom of recipe: This dish has an elegant presentation and I like to serve it to guests. Children love it too.
