I have also made this with smoked sausage links and it's really good. The only change you would make is you slice the smoked sausage. Enjoy!

1 lb
sweet italian sausage
1 c
chopped onion
1 clove
(large) garlic minced
1 can(s)
(15 oz) diced tomatoes
1 tsp
dried oregano
1 tsp
dried basil
1 tsp
1/8 tsp
8 oz
bow tie pasta
1/2 c
grated parmesan cheese

1Remove Italian sausage from casings; brown in a large heavy skillet, breaking Italian sausage up with spatula.
2Remove browned Italian sausage to paper towels to drain.
3Drain off all but about a tablespoon of the sausage drippings; sauté onions until soft; add minced garlic and sauté for another minute.
4Drain tomatoes, reserving liquid. Cook tomatoes in the same skillet for about 4 minutes then add liquid.
5Return Italian sausage to skillet with oregano, basil, salt and pepper. Simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6Cook pasta according to package instructions until done; drain and place on serving platter.
7Spoon sauce over pasta and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Toss lightly and serve.
