betsy's casserole
I grew up eating this delicious casserole. It truly is a comfort food for me. I have no idea who Betsy is, but this is what it's always been called. A wonderful, hearty meal!

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 - onions
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
- 3/4 - 1 cups water
- 1/8 teaspoon thyme, dried
- 1/8 teaspoon marjoram
- 1/2 teaspoon bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon tabasco
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 12 ounces egg noodles
How To Make betsy's casserole

Step 1Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 2 1/2 quart casserole dish and set aside

Step 2In large skillet brown ground beef.

Step 3Chop onions and mince garlic. Add to ground beef.

Step 4Add all remaining ingredients except egg noodles. Bring to a boil.

Step 5In casserole dish put uncooked egg noodles in a layer. Cover noodles with ground beef mixture, making sure all noodles are covered so they'll cook and not burn.

Step 6Bake in 350° once for 45 minutes.
