Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1 pound beef sirloin, boneless cut into strips
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 teaspoons unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 - onion, sliced
How To Make beef stroganoff

Step 1Stir oil and meat in 2 quart casserole until beef is coated.

Step 2Cover and microwave on high (100%)) until meat is no longer pink, 4 1/2 to 5 minutes.

Step 3Remove meat from casserole; reserve meat and juices.

Step 4Add mushrooms and onion to meat juices. Cover and microwave until mushrooms are tender, 5 to 6 minutes.

Step 5Shake water and flour in tightly covered jar; stir into mushrooms.

Step 6Sprinkle with dry mustard, salt and pepper.

Step 7Microwave uncovered to boiling, 30 seconds.

Step 8Boil until thickened, 1 minute.

Step 9Stir in reserved meat, then sour cream.

Step 10Microwave uncovered until hot, about 1 minute.

Step 11Serve over hot cooked rice or hot cooked noodles.
