Ingredients
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 dash white pepper
- 8 ounces dry macaroni noodles
- - salt & pepper to taste
How To Make traditional creamy macaroni & cheese

Step 1Cook macaroni according to package directions. Make cheese sauce while macaroni is cooking.

Step 2Melt butter in bottom of a small sauce pan. Add flour and stir with a wire whisk until smooth. Add milk and cheddar cheese.

Step 3Stir over medium-medium high heat until smooth and thickened. This takes about 10 minutes.

Step 4Drain macaroni noodles and return to pot. Stir in hot cheese sauce until well combined. Add salt & pepper to taste if desired.
