baked ziti

I make this from site so I am putting in what I use most of the time. My friends back home used have me make this or lasgna for pot lucks all the time so I guess you can say that it is a hit. Plus it is one of those meatless dishes that please just about everyone except for a vegan.

Ingredients
- 1 package pene
- 16 ounces mozzarella cheese (low fat is fine as well)
- 8 ounces ricotta cheese
- 2 jars tomato sauce, italian seasoned (i make my own)
- 8 ounces parmigiano-reggiano, grated
How To Make baked ziti

Step 1Preheat oven to 350. Spray Casserole dish to reduce sticking.

Step 2Boil pasta according to the package. Drain.

Step 3In a metal bowl mix half the package of mozzarella, 8 onces of ricotta cheese, pasta, and one jar of sauce.

Step 4Add to casserole dish and cover with the rest of mozzarella. (Note you can add mushrooms to this - I Used to for some of the group I was friends with - but I prefer it as is or with some pepperoni thrwon in on days I want some meat!)

Step 5Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbling and golden on top.

Step 6Serve with additional sauce on the side and grated cheese. Enjoy!
