  • 1 box
    (16 oz.) rigatoni pasta
  • 1 lb
  • 1
    onion, chopped
  • 2 jar(s)
    (28 oz.) spaghetti sauce
  • 6 oz
    provolone cheese, sliced
  • 6 oz
    mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 1 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1/2 c
    parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 c
    fresh basil, chopped

How to Make Baked Ziti


  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8-10 minutes or until al dente. Drain.
  2. In a large skillet, brown beef and onion. Drain. Add spaghetti sauce and simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 350º. In a lightly greased 2 quart baking dish, place about half of the pasta. Top with a layer of provolone and mozzarella cheese slices. Spread on a layer of spaghetti sauce mixture and sour cream. Cover with remaining pasta, cheese and sauce. Sprinkle a layer of parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes.
