Simple, yet homemade. You can prepare your own meatballs, or use some ready-made from the meat case at your grocer's. Frozen meatballs work, also. Types of cheeses can be varied as well as the fresh herb seasonings.

  • 1 pound prepared meatballs, fresh or frozen
  • 8 ounces spaghetti noodles, cooked al dente
  • 24 ounces jar favorite pasta sauce (or 3-4 cups homemade)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2-4 tablespoons minced fresh basil leaves

How To Make baked spaghetti and meatballs

  • Step 1
Cook meatballs according to package directions until done, internal temperature of 160°F. While meatballs are cooking, cook spaghetti noodles in boiling water until al dente, according to package directions.
  • Step 2
Drain spaghetti and combine with pasta sauce in a greased 2-1/2 quart baking dish. Top with meatballs, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses.
  • Step 3
Bake at 350°F until cheese is melted and golden brown, about 20 minutes. Garnish with fresh basil and serve. We like this with salad and Italian or garlic bread.
