Ingredients

  • 1 pound spaghetti, uncooked
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 15 ounces tomato sauce
  • 16 ounces tomatoes, chopped
  • - "just a pinch" of salt
  • - "just a pinch" of pepper
  • 9 ounces cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs, seasoned
  • 1 pound beef cook and drained

How To Make baked spaghetti

  • Step 1
    Boil spaghetti for 15 minutes in salted water; drain.
  • Step 2
    Make tomato gravy by frying onion in oil, adding tomatoes and salsa, then salt and pepper. Cook 20 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Cut up cheese; 1/3 package in small pieces and 2/3 package in strips.
  • Step 4
    Grease large glass baking dish with butter.
  • Step 5
    Place 1/2 spaghetti in dish.
  • Step 6
    Add small pieces cheese, half the gravy and then sprinkle bread crumbs on top, add ground beef.
  • Step 7
    Add remaining spaghetti, cheese pieces and gravy.
  • Step 8
    Top with cheese strips and breadcrumbs.
  • Step 9
    Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
