Ingredients

1 lb
spaghetti, uncooked
1 Tbsp
salt
1
onion, chopped
4 Tbsp
cooking oil
15 oz
tomato sauce
16 oz
tomatoes, chopped
"just a pinch" of salt
"just a pinch" of pepper
9 oz
cheddar cheese
1/4 c
bread crumbs, seasoned
1 lb
beef cook and drained

How to Make Baked Spaghetti

Step-by-Step

  • 1Boil spaghetti for 15 minutes in salted water; drain.
  • 2Make tomato gravy by frying onion in oil, adding tomatoes and salsa, then salt and pepper. Cook 20 minutes.
  • 3Cut up cheese; 1/3 package in small pieces and 2/3 package in strips.
  • 4Grease large glass baking dish with butter.
  • 5Place 1/2 spaghetti in dish.
  • 6Add small pieces cheese, half the gravy and then sprinkle bread crumbs on top, add ground beef.
  • 7Add remaining spaghetti, cheese pieces and gravy.
  • 8Top with cheese strips and breadcrumbs.
  • 9Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
