I wanted something quick to cook and found this recipe. Of course, I had to adjust to make my own. It is really quick if you use bottled spaghetti sauce. I make my own, so that added a little time. Hope everyone enjoys it. This is good served with a green salad and garlic bread.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 cloves garlic, sliced or minced
  • 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon italian seasoning, or to taste
  • - salt, to taste
  • - pepper, to taste
  • 1 - 25-oz pkg frozen cheese ravioli, or whatever type you choose
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 10 ounces pkg. frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

How To Make baked ravioli

  • Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step 2
Brown ground beef in large frying pan until no longer pink. Drain off excess grease, then add garlic and cook for one minute. Add crushed tomatoes, sugar, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Let simmer for at least 30 minutes for flavors to meld.
  • Step 3
Place 1/2 of the sauce in a greased shallow 2-qt baking dish. It may take a little more to cover the bottom of the dish. Top with half of the ravioli (uncooked and frozen), mozzarella cheese, spinach and Parmesan cheese. Repeat layers.
  • Step 4
Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.
