How to Make Baked Beef Ziti

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Cook pasta according to package directions and drain. Set aside.
  2. Meanwhile, heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat; add garlic and saute 2 minutes. Add beef and cook until browned, breaking up the meat as it cooks. Drain off any fat.
  3. Add oregano, thyme, rosemary, salt and pepper, stir to coat beef. Cook 2 minutes until herbs become fragrant. Add sauce OR tomatoes, and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Spoon small about of tomato mixture in bottom of 3 qt. casserole dish(to keep pasta from sticking). Mix everything together and pour in casserole. Bake 20-25 minutes--cover with foil.
