Ingredients

  • 1 package spaghetti noodles (or noodles of your choice)
  • 1/2 cup tamari
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 - 1 1/2 pounds ground turkey, preferably dark meat
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch, dissolved in a light bit of water
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 English cucumber, deseeded and thinly sliced
  • roasted sesame seeds (optional)
  • freshly chopped cilantro and lime slices for garnish

How To Make asian-style noodles with ground turkey

  • Step 1
    Prepare noodles according to package instructions.
  • Step 2
    Combine soy sauce with ginger and mix well. Add oil to a skillet and brown the turkey along with the garlic.
  • Step 3
    When turkey is crumbled and done, reduce the heat and add the sauce ingredients. Allow the sauce ingredients to season the turkey.
  • Step 4
    Then add corn starch dissolved in a bit of water. Cook until the sauce thickens.
  • Step 5
    Add noodles - mix well. Add the turkey/noodle mixture to a serving bowl and garnish with the carrots and cucumbers.
  • Step 6
    Sprinkle dish with a squeeze of lime, cilantro, and sesame seeds (if using).
