Originally given to me by a colleague and she used cherry tomatoes instead of the canned variety. I began adding things to it and experimented with a variety of items. I also generally make this for a crowd and if you try this for a crowd, increase the packages to three of the rotini pasta and you might need a larger bottle or more than one of the Italian salad dressing (any variety).

1 pkg
rotini pasta
1 bottle
italian salad dressing
1 pkg
cheese, chopped
1 can(s)
diced tomatos, your choice of flavor


1Cook pasta per instructions on package.
2When done, drain and let cool.
3Pour 1/4 bottle of salad dressing over pasta and mix well. Add remaining ingredients.
4Chill for up to eight hours (may be prepared a day in advance). Check every 4 hours for dryness and reapply dressing liberally to keep moistened.
5You may add anything extra you'd like to this salad. I have added a jar of artichoke hearts, pepperoni, cubed cheese, mushrooms, sliced eggs, black olives, etc.
