Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    olive oil
  • 2
    garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 c
    green onions, diced
  • 3 large
    tomatoes, peeled and diced
  • 2 Tbsp
    basil, fresh chopped
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 lb
    angel hair pasta
  • ·
    parmesan or romano cheese, grated
  • 6 slice
    bacon, cooked and crumbled

How to Make Angel Hair Tomato Basil Toss

Step-by-Step

  1. In large skillet, heat oil. Add garlic and green onions, stir-fry for one minute. Stir in tomatoes, basil, salt and pepper; cook 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Set aside for a few moments.
  2. Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain. Toss tomato mixture with hot pasta, adding bacon or other cooked meats at this time.

    Sprinkle with Parmesan or Romano cheese. Serve immediately. Great with garlic bread and a salad.

    VARIATION: Use 1 cup of cooked ham, turkey OR chicken in place of bacon.
