Ingredients

  • 1 large lemon
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup vodka
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 12 ounces angel hair pasta
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil chopped
  • salt and pepper

How To Make angel hair pasta with vodka lemon cream sauce

  • Step 1
    Place a large pot of salted water on the stove and bring to a boil. Zest the lemon and set the zest aside. Squeeze the juice of the lemon to measure 2 tablespoons, set aside.
  • Step 2
    Combine the cream and vodka in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and boil for about 5 minutes. Meanwhile, add the angel hair to the pot of boiling water and cook until al dente.
  • Step 3
    Once the cream has thickened a bit, add the lemon juice and half the lemon zest. Drain the pasta and add it to the sauce. Cook 2 minutes. Stir in the basil and top with the remaining lemon zest.
