I love the simplicity of this dish, nothing overpowering the flavor of the crab. This could also be made with imitation crab. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small to medium sweet onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons jarred mince garlic or 2 - 3 cloves fresh minced
  • 1 medium carrot, julienned
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 6 ounces crab meat, flaked
  • 1 1/4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 - 3 tablespoons chopped italian parsley
  • 8 ounces prepared spaghetti
  • 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • Pepper to - to taste

How To Make ~ a little crabby pasta ~

  • Step 1
    Prepare pasta while making the sauce as it doesn't take long. In a medium skillet, melt butter with Olive oil, over medium high heat, add onion, garlic and carrots, toss and cook just until tender, stirring often.
  • Step 2
    Reduce heat to medium and add the crab, basil, lemon juice and parsley, continue cooking for just a few more minutes and stir in the salt and pepper.
  • Step 3
    Place hot pasta in a bowl or large platter and pour the crab mixture over it. Toss to coat pasta. Can sprinkle with parsley and Parmesan cheese if desire. Serve immediately.
