60 seconds pasta
When you're juggling the menu with a vegetable, side dish and a pasta dish, it seems that, in my house, the pasta becomes a 'last minutes consideration. You throw water into a pot and wait for it to come to a boil. Then you wait for the pasta to cook. The rest of the food is waiting for the pasta too, and getting cold. This method allows the cook to finish the pasta 60 seconds after the water boils.

How To Make 60 seconds pasta
-
Step 1This recipe is used only for a "planned" pasta meal. Otherwise, use the old stove top method.
-
Step 2Place uncooked pasta in a container large enough for the pasta and COLD water at the level of about two inches over the pasta. Cover the container with a lid or plastic wrap. COLD water will allow the pasta to retain the starch so the pasta will not stick together.
-
Step 3After 1 1/2 hours boil water in a large pot with salt. Bring it to a boil, drain the pasta from the COLD water and transfer the pasta to the boiling water.
-
Step 4Boil the pasta for 60 SECONDS and it will be Al-Dente. I always make sure that it is done by tasting the pasta. Serve and enjoy.
