Ingredients

2 cchopped white onion

2 cchopped green bell pepper

2 cchopped celery

28 oz can(s)petite or regular-sized diced tomatoes

1 Tbspworcestershire sauce

1 tspground thyme
-
1 Tbspcreole seasoning

13 ozchopped smoked beef sausage or cajun style andouille sausage
-
24 ozfresh or thawed frozen medium or large peeled shrimp
-
1 cfrozen okra (optional)

·hot pepper sauce
How to Make Yo Mama's Crock Pot Creole
- Combine first seven ingredients in crock pot and cook on low heat for 3 hours.
- Stir in sausage. Add okra if desired. Stir well and cook for 2 1/2 more hours.
- Add shrimp and stir well to combine. Cook an additional 30 minutes until shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.
- Serve over steamed white rice with hot pepper sauce to taste.
