  • 2 slices thick italian bread buttered and toasted in oven until browned
  • 1/2 cup beer
  • 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 3 cups grated aged cheddar cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • salt and pepper
  • fresh parsley chopped

How To Make welsh rarebit with fried egg

  • Step 1
    Mix the shredded cheese, paprika, and dry mustard. Pour the beer in a large pan. Bring to a boil and let reduce by half. Stir in the cheese mixture and cook until melted.
  • Step 2
    Fry the eggs. Pour the cheese sauce over the toasted bread and serve the fried egg on top of each pieces of bread and garnish with parsley
