Ingredients
- 1 - venison roast
- 1 - celery stalk, cut into small slivers
- 3 - cloves garlic, sliced thinly
- 1 - onion, sliced
- 6 slices bacon
- - seasoning salt
- - black pepper, freshly ground
- 2 cans (10 3/4 ounce) cream of mushroom soup
- - cooked mashed potatoes
How To Make venison roast with gravy

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Punch several holes in both sides of roast.

Step 3Slide celery and garlic into the holes.

Step 4Place in a roasting pan, and top with onion.

Step 5Cover onion with bacon slices.

Step 6Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Step 7Bake covered 20 - 25 minutes per pound.

Step 8Remove from oven 30 minutes before roast is done.

Step 9Add the mushroom soup around the sides of the roast.

Step 10Bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes.

Step 11Serve with mashed potatoes.
