vegetarian mushroom burger
(1 RATING)
We ate at an awesome vegetarian restaurant and had a mushroom burger and it was to die for. The restaurant went out of business so I came up with my own recipe for the burger

Ingredients
- 6 - slices toasted bread
- 2 large eggs
- 2 large portabello mushroom caps
- 2 tablespoons a1 steak sauce
- 6 ounces pepper jack cheese
- 1 small onion diced
- 3 cloves garlic, pressed with garlic press
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
How To Make vegetarian mushroom burger
-
Step 1Finely chop onion and mushroom caps. Mix all ingredients together. Allow to set in fridge for 1 hour for flavors to absorb. Pour olive in skillet on medium low heat. Allow oil to heat up for a min. Form mushroom mixture into patties and fry on both sides just until slightly crispy about 3 mins per side. Take care in turning over as they tend to stick a bit. Serve on favorite bun with your choice of toppings. Enjoy. For a Asian flavor, substitute teriyaki sauce for the A1 sauce and mozzarella cheese for the pepper jack.
