My brother, who is a vegetarian asked me for suggestions for him to make New Year's. I sent him this recipe although I had never tried it. He made it and said it was wonderful, he is a wonderful cook and although I am not a vegetarian,he and I have similar tastes.
My brother said he used fresh artichokes, steamed them himself just till tender, then added to the dish, the original recipe used frozen artichokes. He used frozen green peas.
