This was given to me by a close friend. It is also very good but I cheat, When we make Home made chili I use it instead of canned because its better. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups cold water
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups corn meal
  • FILLING
  • 15 ounces chili
  • 1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup black olives, sliced
  • 1/2 cup corn
  • 3/4 cup cheese, shredded

How To Make tamale pie

  • Step 1
    Combine water, chili powder,corn meal, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat until thick, about 10 minutes stirring frequently. Set aside 3/4 cup. Line sides and bottom of 13x9 buttered dish.
  • Step 2
    Heat chili, green pepper, olives, and corn until hot, Pour into crust. Top with rounded tablespoon of remaining crust. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
