Ingredients
- 14 ounces chickpeas (or 1 can, us)
- 2 - onion
- 1 pound sweet potatoes
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons beriberi
- 1 tablespoon kibe (ethiopian seasoned, clarified butter)
- - salt, to taste
- 3 cloves garlic
- - water, as needed
How To Make sweet potato and chickpea wot

Step 1Cook onions in hot, dry skillet for about 3 minutes. Add oil, stir and cook 3 more minutes.

Step 2Add berbere and stir well, adding a little water if needed for about 5 minutes. Add sweet potatoes, lower heat slightly, cook for 5 minutes.

Step 3Add chickpeas, garlic and salt. Add a little water, stir and cook for 5 more minutes. Then add butter and cook until potatoes are tender. Taste for salt and serve.
