This recipe won a People's Choice Awared in McClenny, FL. It is good to shake on the pork before cooking, and AFTER the pork has cooked because it's both spicy & sweet.

    black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1 tsp
    chipotle pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    onion powder
  • 2 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 tsp
    oregano, dried

How to Make Sweat's Competition Pork Rub

Step-by-Step

  1. This rub is very spicy and I wouldn't recommend using it on ribs or chicken unless you really like the heat. When cooking pork for 8 to 10+ hours, the spicy heat is reduced and just more of the flavors of the pepper remain.
