Warm and comforting. I love this dish and it is quick and easy.
My teenage daughter and I really enjoy making and sharing this on a lazy afternoon or during a late night chat.

Ingredients

2 can(s)
diced tomatoes (15 oz each)
2 Tbsp
sugar or splenda
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
pepper
4 Tbsp
butter
1 c
baking mix
6-8 Tbsp
milk

Step-By-Step

1In a large saucepan, combine the tomatoes, sugar, salt, pepper and butter. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
2In a small bowl, combine biscuit mix and milk. Drop batter in 4-6 mounds onto the tomatoes. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in a dumpling comes out clean (do not lift cover while simmering).
3This may sound like a strange dish, but it is very tummy soothing and soul satisfying.
