Ingredients

  • 3-5 pounds ox tails
  • 1 cup canola oil
  • 4-5 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 4-5 cloves fresh chopped garlic
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 tablespoons fresh minced ginger
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup bbq sause
  • 1 cup ketcup
  • 1 cup a-1 steak sause
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hot sause
  • 2 large carrots chopped 1in. size
  • 4 large potatos chopped 2in, size
  • 1 cup water

How To Make stewed ox tails

  • Step 1
    MARINATE: Ox Tails, 1/2 the oil, thyme, garlic, ginger, onion, and red pepper flakes. mix well, cover, & put in frig for 1-4hrs or overnite!!!!
  • Step 2
    In a large pot Brown meat in oil over med hi heat on all sides. Do in batches dont over crowd!!!!
  • Step 3
    Add meat and the rest of the ingred. except potatoes and carrots!!!! Bring to boil, cover, cook on med low 3hrs Last 30mins add vegs cook till tender!!! Sever and Enjoy :)
