This is the very first recipe I made after I was married. I crack up every time I think about it. It was such a big deal for me being a young bride, and having to be economical as well as wanting to please my husband 38 years ago. Today, he still eats his SPAM, but he's more apt to cook it himself.. lol. I remember serving this with baked potatoes and fresh green beans. lol.. still chuckling!

  • 1 medium onion, sliced moderately thin
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup orange marmalade

How To Make spam roast

  • Step 1
preheat oven to 350 degrees. Use a piece of aluminum foil that will be large enough to wrap the SPAM roast loosely. Remove SPAM from the can, and wipe away any jelly. Slice SPAM 1/2 inch thick, ALMOST all the way through.Put on the foil. Distribute onion slices in between slices of SPAM. Mix ketchup and marmalade and spoon over the top. Close the foil over the sauce covered meat and seal tightly. Bake at 350 for half hour or longer til heated through and the onions are cooked.
