This is a very old family recipe handed down from my Mom. My family loves it. I serve it with a salad on the side.

  • 2 Tbsp
    bacon drippings or shortening
  • 1/2 c
    finely chopped onion
  • 2/3 c
    finely chopped bell pepper
  • 1/2 c
    finely chopped celery
  • 2 lb
    raw or frozen shrimp chopped fine or ground
  • 1
    101/2 oz. can of cream of mushroom
  • 1 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
    red pepper
  • 3
    drops tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 tsp
    worchestshire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    finely chopped parsley

    pastry for 2 crust pie

How to Make Shrimp Pie


  1. Saute onion,green pepper, and celery in hot fat until soft but not brown.
  2. Add shrimp; stir and simmer 5 min.
  3. Add mushroom soup,flour and seasonings; simmer about 10 min.
  4. Remove from heat add parsley.
  5. Line small muffin pan with pastry.
  6. Fill with shrimp mixture and cover with top crust.
  7. Make cuts in topfor steam to escape.
  8. Bake in hot (400 degree) oven 20 to 30 minutes or until top crust is golden brown.
