This is a very old family recipe handed down from my Mom. My family loves it. I serve it with a salad on the side.

2 Tbsp
bacon drippings or shortening
1/2 c
finely chopped onion
2/3 c
finely chopped bell pepper
1/2 c
finely chopped celery
2 lb
raw or frozen shrimp chopped fine or ground
101/2 oz. can of cream of mushroom
1 Tbsp
all purpose flour
1 tsp
1/2 tsp
red pepper
drops tabasco sauce
1/2 tsp
worchestshire sauce
2 Tbsp
finely chopped parsley
pastry for 2 crust pie

How to Make Shrimp Pie


  • 1Saute onion,green pepper, and celery in hot fat until soft but not brown.
  • 2Add shrimp; stir and simmer 5 min.
  • 3Add mushroom soup,flour and seasonings; simmer about 10 min.
  • 4Remove from heat add parsley.
  • 5Line small muffin pan with pastry.
  • 6Fill with shrimp mixture and cover with top crust.
  • 7Make cuts in topfor steam to escape.
  • 8Bake in hot (400 degree) oven 20 to 30 minutes or until top crust is golden brown.
