Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 pound smoked sausage or kielbasa
- 1 1/2 cups onion, chopped
- 1 box au gratin potatoes
- 3 cups hot water
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cups carrots, chopped
- 20 oz bags chopped broccoli
- 3 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
How To Make smoked sausage au gratin casserole

Step 1Cook sausage and onion in oil until onion is tender. In the meantime, run frozen broccoli under running hot water to thaw.

Step 2Add potatoes, water and pepper and simmer for 10 minutes.

Step 3Stir in carrots and continue to simmer for an additional 10 minutes.

Step 4Add thawed broccoli and cook for an additional 10 minutes.

Step 5Finally, add cheddar, stirring just until cheese has melted.

Step 6Serve immediately
