This meal tasted so good I had to share it. The taste of the peppers and sausage had the mushrooms for picky eaters.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg
    keilbasa sausage
  • 1 -2 c
    mushrooms
  • 1 box
    penne
  • 3 medium
    green bell peppers
  • 1
    onions, yellow, medium
  • 1 bottle
    pasta sauce
  • 1-2 tsp
    extra virgin olive oil

How to Make Sausage and peppers

Step-by-Step

  1. Slice peppers and onions. Add 1-2 teaspoons of olive oil and sauteé onions and peppers until done.
  2. Slice mushrooms and cut sausages. Add to onions and peppers. Simmer 5 - 10 minutes until done.
  3. In a seperate pot, boil penne until al denté.
  4. Strain excess water from pasta and add sausage pepper mix to pasta.
  5. Heat up pasta sauce.
  6. Serve pasta sauce over sausage and pasta.
