Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh chives
  • 1 pinch dried thyme
  • 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons freshly grated onion
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan - reggiano cheese
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 package hawaiian bread rolls (12 count)
  • 8 ounces black forest ham, thinly sliced
  • 8 ounces swiss cheese, thinly sliced

How To Make sassy ham & cheese sandwiches

  • Step 1
    Preheat over to 350 degrees.
  • Step 2
In a small bowl, combine cream cheese, chives and thyme. Set aside.
  • Step 3
In a separate bowl, mix the butter, onions, parmesan cheese and worchester. Set aside somewhere warm so butter does not solidify.
  • Step 4
Cut rolls in half & divide ham & cheese equally among rolls. On top half of the roll, spread a generous amount of cream cheese - chive mix. Place tops on top of each sandwich bottom.
  • Step 5
Pour butter mixture over the top of sandwiches cover with foil and bake until cheese is melted, about 20 minutes. Uncover and bake 5 more minutes to brown the buns a bit.
  • Step 6
Recipe adapted from Food Network show 'Homemade in America with Sunny Anderson.'
