I cook dinner almost every night and some nights it seems I don't have any time, then my creativity kicks in and I make something in less than 30 minutes and it tastes like I've cooked for an hour!

  • 1/2 c
    raw pine nuts
  • 1
    garlic clove
  • 1/2 c
    basil leaves
  • 1
    medium red bell pepper
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1/4 c
    vegetable stock
  • 1/8 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1 pinch
    sea salt

How to Make Red Pepper Basil Creamy Pine Nut Pesto Sauce


  1. Add pine nuts and garlic with olive oil to frying pan, toast on low heat for 2 minutes, then transfer to food processor, set aside
  2. Place red pepper and cayenne pepper in frying pan with olive oil and sauté' for 5 minutes on medium heat
  3. Transfer to food processor, then add basil leaves, vegetable stock, and sea salt to taste. Blend on high until creamy consistency. Serve over cooked pasta!
