potatoes & turnips w/onions
For a quick ONE-DISH-MEAL, or a side dish, try this. It is real tasty, if you like turnips, potatoes and onions cooked together!!

Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (i used 1-1/2) ((optional))
- 1 large turnip, peeled, cut in half and slice
- 3 medium russet potatoes, peeled, slice
- 1 medium white onoin, peeled and cut in half and slice
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
How To Make potatoes & turnips w/onions

Step 1Get all ingredients together.

Step 2Get a 12 inch skillet pour 4 tablespoons of olive oil, and turn on burner to medium-high. Add red pepper flakes.

Step 3Add cut and 1/4 inch sliced turnip, and cover the bottom of skillet. Cook about 5 minutes.

Step 4Meanwhile, take your potatoes out of water and slice them about 1/4 inch.

Step 5Turn burner to medium, stir turnips, and add potatoes, covering the turnips.

Step 6Add 2 teaspoons of kosher salt.

Step 7Add 1/2 teaspoon of fresh ground pepper. Stir, and cook about 5 minutes

Step 8Take your onion cut in half,and slice it about 1/4 inch thick.

Step 9Take the onion, and place it over the potatoes mixture...

Step 10evenly.

Step 11Put top on skillet and cook about 5 minutes.

Step 12Stir potatoes, turnip and onion. Turn down burner to low, and cover. Cook about 25 minutes. Turning mixture once half way through cooking.

Step 13Cook until vegetables are soft. Add salt and pepper to taste.
