portabella mushroom crust pizza
My husband is on a low carb diet, but loves pizza (and mushrooms)! This is my solution so he can eat the pizza he loves, but still adhere to the diet. I must admit, this has become one of my favorites too!

Ingredients
- 4 - large portabella mushroom caps
- 6 ounces jar pizza sauce
- - mozzarella cheese
- - onion, small chopped
- - pepperoni
How To Make portabella mushroom crust pizza

Step 1remove stems from mushrooms and scrape off gills with a spoon.

Step 2wipe off mushrooms with damp paper towel. Do not wash under running water as they will absorb the water.

Step 3Cook on baking sheet, gill side down, at 400 degrees for 10 minutes

Step 4Remove from oven, turn gill side up and spread inside with pizza sauce. Add additional toppings as desired, ending with cheese.

Step 5Bake an additional 15 minutes or until cheese bubbles.
