I created another fried rice recipe,fills with poblano peppers,it's great with a side of chinese chicken dishes and egg rolls.

Ingredients For poblano pepper fried rice

  • 2 Tbsp
    sesame oil
  • 4 md
    poblano peppers,seeded and sliced
  • 1 md
    red onion,chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    creole seasoning
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar barbecue sauce
  • 3 c
    chilled cooked white rice
  • 4 lg
    large eggs,beaten

How To Make poblano pepper fried rice

  • 1
    Heat sesame oil in a medium saucepan over high heat. Add sliced poblano peppers and cook for 5 minutes until are well tender.

    Stir in chopped red onion,creole seasoning,garlic powder and barbecue sauce;stir-fry for 5 minutes.

    Add cooked white rice; stir-fry for 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Push the rice mixture to the sides of the saucepan, forming a well in the center.

    Add beaten eggs to center of the saucepan and cook 30 seconds; toss with rice mixture. Stir-fry until the eggs are cooked.
