Ingredients

  • 1
    onion sauteed
  • 6 c
    mashed potatoes
  • 2 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 box
    pot pit or bow tie noodles cooked
  • 1 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter
  • ·
    sour cream

How to Make Pierogie Casserol

Step-by-Step

  1. Cook noodles until al dente, and drain
  2. Saute onion in 4 tbs butter
  3. make mashed potatoes as you normally do. Add salt and pepper.
  4. Mix potatoes, onion, and 3/4 of the shredded cheese
  5. In a greased casserol dish layer 1/2 of the cooked noodles. Top with half of the potatoe mix. Repeat layers. Sprinkle last of cheese on top
  6. Bake at 375 for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Serve with sour cream.
