- 1/2 cup onions
- 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper

Step 1Combine all ingredients, shape into patties, and fry in hot oil until lightly browned. ****NOTE: Instead of self-rising cornmeal, use 2 cups cornmeal, 3 teaspoon baking powder and 1 teaspoon salt can be substituted.
