japanese rice crackers (the ones with the seaweed wrap)
hot brewed green tea
steamed rice
thinly cut seaweed
black and white sesame seeds
wasabi
shoyu/tamari

How to Make Ochazuke for 1

Step-by-Step

  • 1Brew the green tea.
  • 2Put the rice crackers in a small plastic bag then coarsely smash.
  • 3Place hot rice in a serving (rice) bowl, top with cracker pieces, seaweed, sesame seeds, and wasabi. Pour hot green tea over rice. Add shoyu/tamari, to taste.
