I got this recipe over 20 yrs ago, from my Mom's church cookbook. I wish I still had a copy of it. There were so many delicious recipes in it.
This recipe was from my Mom's friend's Mom who was excellent with german dishes. This is easy and comforting.

How to Make Mrs. Wright's German Goodness

Step-by-Step

  1. peel and cut potatoes into bite sizes
  2. cut kielbasa into sliced bites
  3. core and and quarter cabbage
  4. place kielbasa in approx. 1/3 cup of water, layer with potatoes, and cabbage. Add salt and pepper as well as diced butter. Cook on stove top, bring to a boil. Reduce heat cover and simmer until potatoes and cabbage are cooked.
