I got this recipe over 20 yrs ago, from my Mom's church cookbook. I wish I still had a copy of it. There were so many delicious recipes in it.
This recipe was from my Mom's friend's Mom who was excellent with german dishes. This is easy and comforting.

Ingredients

1or2 lb
polska kielbasa
4 large
potatoes
1
head of cabbage
1 stick
butter
salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Mrs. Wright's German Goodness

Step-by-Step

  • 1peel and cut potatoes into bite sizes
  • 2cut kielbasa into sliced bites
  • 3core and and quarter cabbage
  • 4place kielbasa in approx. 1/3 cup of water, layer with potatoes, and cabbage. Add salt and pepper as well as diced butter. Cook on stove top, bring to a boil. Reduce heat cover and simmer until potatoes and cabbage are cooked.
