  • 1 can(s)
    campbell's tomato soup
  • 4 oz
    heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 can(s)
    whole peeled tomatos
  • 4 slice
    sourdough texas toast
  • 4 slice
    monterey jack cheese
  • 2 Tbsp
    non-salted butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh basil
  • 1/4 tsp
    white pepper
  • 1 tsp
    kosher salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    ketchup
  • TOMATO-CREAM SOUP WITH MONTEREY JACK GRILLED CHEESE

How to Make Monterey Jack Grilled Cheese & Tomato Cream Soup

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt butter in medium saute' pan, and add bread slices to pan. Add cheese slices to bread and fry bottom to a toasty crust on outside, then add other slice and turn over.
  2. Add Soup base and all ingredients except heavy cream to a soup pot.
    Mix well and heat to medium on stove top.
    Gradually add heavycream to pot after everything is mixed.
  3. Serve with bowl inside a plate, add chopped fresh basil for garnish on top of soup with a little mont. jack cheese melting atop.
