Ingredients
- 2 Tbs. - dijon mustard
- 8 - 1/2 inch slices white bread
- 6 ounces thinly sliced turkey breast
- 6 ounces thinly sliced ham
- 6 ounces thinly sliced swiss cheese
- 4 teaspoons olive oil, extra virgin
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons whole milk
How To Make monte cristo

Step 1Spread bread with mustard and form sandwiches with the turkey, ham and cheese.

Step 2Heat 2 teaspoons olive oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 3In a shallow baking dish, whisk together the eggs and milk. Dip two of the sandwiches in the egg mixture, turning to coat, and place in skillet. Cook covered, until bottoms are golden brown, 3 to 4 minutes. Turn and cook, covered, until bottoms are golden and the cheese is melted, 3 to 4 minutes more. Transfer to a baking sheet and cover with foil to keep warm. Repeat with remaining oil, egg mixture and sandwiches.

Step 4I love to sift confectioners sugar on just before serving.
