Ingredients

  • 1-1 1/2 pounds hamburger
  • 1 - green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 - sweet onion, chopped
  • 1-32oz can tomato juice
  • 1 package macaroni, elbow
  • 2-3 cups water
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter

How To Make moms' best goulash

  • Step 1
    Brown hamburger, drain grease. In Dutch oven saute bell pepper and onion in butter until crisp tender about 5 mins. Add hamburger,tomato juice, water ,salt and pepper.
  • Step 2
    Bring to boil and add noodles. Reduce heat to about medium and cook covered. Stirring occassionally, until liquid reduced until slightly thicker.
  • Step 3
    Serve with croissants.
